Tanzanian Foreign Minister visits France
January Makamba was in Paris last week to meet the French Secretary of State Chrysoula Zacharopoulou and the representatives of MEDEF International
Tanzanian Foreign Minister January Makamba visited France on November 16th. He met with Chrysoula Zacharopoulou, the French Secretary of State in charge of development, the French-speaking world, and international partnerships. This trip allowed them to discuss investment in Tanzania as well as COP28.
January Makamba also visited the MEDEF International office. They addressed methods to strengthen the economic partnership between France and Tanzania, as well as strategic opportunities in energy, infrastructure, transportation, urban services, and tourism.
As a result of the discussion, they agreed to organize a company mission to Tanzania in May 2024.
A French-Tanzanian business forum is also in preparation, concentrating on the following sectors:
- Infrastructures
- Energy and mining
- Tourism
