After a record profit, TPC invests in a new factory
Following a record profit after tax of Sh 72.7 billion in 2023 (USD 29 million), TPC Limited, the country's oldest sugar manufacturer, is set to invest Sh 112.5 billion (USD 44.9 million) in erecting a molasses processing plant in Moshi, near its sugar factory.
Construction for the molasses plant should begin next year. Once operational, the plant will significantly enhance the sugar value chain within the company, stimulate local employment, and bolster fiscal revenues.
