ESG Committee | Governance

This first session of the ESG Committee focuses on one of the three pillars of the event: Governance.

The ESG Committee of the French-Tanzanian Chamber of Commerce (FTCC) was established to support the private sector in embedding Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into business strategy, operations, and culture. Its mission is to foster responsible business practices, enhance sustainability performance, and contribute to the long-term resilience of FTCC member companies.

This first part of the event on February 4, is focusing on the Governance topic. This session will address key governance topics such as ethical leadership, board effectiveness, risk management, transparency, and compliance. It aims to provide practical insights and tools to help companies strengthen governance frameworks, enhance decision-making processes, and meet growing stakeholder expectations.

During this session on governance, we will discuss the following topics together:

• ESG standards and frameworks
• ESG Governance Roles and Responsibilities
• ESG Sustainability Reports

Through its ESG Committee, FTCC seeks to support its members in aligning with international ESG standards, contributing to national development objectives, and responding effectively to increasing demands for transparency, ethics, and sustainable impact.
