Event report
Join us for the next Tax & Finance Committee meeting, where KKB Attorneys will present the latest Foreign Currency Usage Regulations.
Understanding the New Foreign Currency Usage Regulations in Tanzania
The Bank of Tanzania has introduced new regulations significantly limiting the use of foreign currencies in domestic transactions, effective from 28 March 2025. These changes, stemming from the amended Section 26 of the Bank of Tanzania Act, require that all goods and services be priced, advertised, and paid for in Tanzanian Shillings (TZS), with only a few exceptions.
To help businesses better understand the implications of these developments, the Tax & Finance Committee is pleased to host a dedicated session featuring a presentation by KKB Attorneys, who will break down the legal and practical aspects of the new framework.
👉 What to expect:
A comprehensive overview of the regulations and their scope
Practical examples and potential challenges for businesses
A chance to raise your questions directly during the Q&A
Open floor discussions for members to exchange insights and concerns
Let us help you navigate this important regulatory shift with clarity and confidence.
