IMF Projections | Tanzania

Tanzania's economy is expected to grow significantly in the coming years, according to IMF projections. With a current value of $85.4 billion, Tanzania's economy is projected to reach $136 billion by 2028. This represents a faster growth rate than Kenya's projected growth of $118.1 billion to $151 billion over the same period. Tanzania's GDP growth rates of 6.4% in 2024 and 7% in 2028 surpass Kenya's consistent growth rate of 5.5% in the coming years. Finally According to these projections, Tanzania has the potential to overtake Kenya as the largest economy in East Africa within the next decade.
