On January 29, the French-Tanzanian Chamber of Commerce (FTCC) celebrated the New Year and signature of a MoU between Business France and the FTCC.
On January 29, the French-Tanzanian Chamber of Commerce welcomed members, partners, and alumni to its New Year Cocktail 2026, organized under the High Patronage of the Ambassador of France and kindly hosted at the Embassy of France.
The event set the tone for the year ahead, centered on economic cooperation, investment, and collaboration between France and Tanzania
The event was honored by the presence of Her Excellency the Ambassador of France to Tanzania, who, in her address, highlighted the importance of strengthening economic ties between France and Tanzania. She emphasized the role of investment, entrepreneurship, and cooperation frameworks in supporting sustainable economic development, reaffirming France’s commitment to accompanying Tanzanian growth.
The highlight of the evening was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the FTCC and Business France, the French government agency dedicated to supporting French companies in their international development and promoting foreign investment in France. This Memorandum of Understanding serves as a framework for concrete actions to reinforce cooperation between our two organisations and enhance the promotion of Tanzania as an attractive destination for trade and investment.
The New Year Cocktail also provided the opportunity to officially welcome the Chamber’s new members and to present several of the events and services planned for 2026, outlining the FTCC’s priorities for the year ahead and its continued commitment to supporting its growing network.
Throughout the evening, participants enjoyed a convivial networking atmosphere, accompanied by wines and cocktails, generously provided by Red ’n White and Johari Tanzanian GinThe FTCC warmly thanks all participants and partners for their presence and engagement.
