On February 25, our members had the opportunity to attend on a webinar about African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), gaining valuable insights into the opportunities and challenges of this historic free trade area.
The presentation by Pieter Steyn, director of Werksmans and chairperson of Lex Africa, on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) focused on its implementation, challenges, and opportunities. The AfCFTA, signed by 54 countries and ratified by 48, aims to create the world’s largest free trade area by promoting economic integration and trade liberalization.
