Discover key insights from the FTCC–CCTTFA Transport Task Force event and the new MoU boosting connectivity across the Central Corridor.

On 19 November 2025, the French-Tanzanian Chamber of Commerce (FTCC) hosted its Transport Task Force members at the French Embassy in Dar es Salaam for a session dedicated to the Central Corridor and the major transport infrastructure projects shaping the region.

Organised in partnership with the Central Corridor Transit Transport Facilitation Agency (CCTTFA), the event brought together key stakeholders from the transport ecosystem.

We were honoured by the presence of Flory Okonge, Executive Secretary of the CCTTFA, as well as Jean Traband from the French Embassy, who highlighted the importance of continued public-private dialogue and Franco-Tanzanian cooperation in the transport sector.

The discussion was led by Benjamin Coston, Country Manager at CMA CGM and Michael de Abreu, Managing Director at E.A.L.S, who shared industry insights and updates from their respective sectors. They were joined by Ally Hamud Kakomile from the Central Corridor, whose strategic overview helped frame current priorities and long-term regional ambitions.

We were honoured by the presence of Flory Okonge, Executive Secretary of the CCTTFA, as well as Jean Traband from the French Embassy, who highlighted the importance of continued public-private dialogue and Franco-Tanzanian cooperation in the transport sector.

A highlight of the evening was the official signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the FTCC and the CCTTFA, marking a renewed commitment to collaboration, information sharing and joint engagement in support of sustainable and efficient infrastructure development.

The FTCC warmly thanks all members of the Transport Task Force for their participation and contributions. We look forward to continuing this collective effort to strengthen connectivity and unlock new opportunities across the Central Corridor.

We also extend our sincere thanks to the Central Corridor Transit Transport Facilitation Agency and the French Embassy for their invaluable support and collaboration.
