FTCC gathered HR and business leaders to review key compliance updates in Tanzania
The French-Tanzanian Chamber of Commerce (FTCC) held its Corporate Compliance Update: Labour Law & Trademark Recordation workshop on Thursday 19 February, in partnership with KKB Attorneys at Law.
Designed for HR professionals and business leaders, the session focused on practical compliance points affecting day-to-day operations in Tanzania, with three themes on the agenda.
• The workshop covered the new minimum wage for the private sector, with a focus on employer obligations and the implications for payroll processes and internal HR policies.
• It also addressed probation period management and lawful termination, outlining the legal procedures to follow and the points that typically create risk when probation is not documented or handled correctly.
• Finally, the workshop covered trademark recordation, providing an overview of the process and reinforcing the importance of protecting business brands in Tanzania.
The FTCC would like to warmly thank all participants for their attendance and engagement. We also extend our sincere appreciation to KKB Attorneys at Law for their expert guidance and continued support in helping our members stay informed and compliant with evolving regulations in Tanzania
